Shred Event FAQs

Below you will find the answers to questions we frequently receive about our shred events. For answers to additional questions,
please call 1-800-289-8580 to discuss.

What can I bring?

Any financial statements, bank records, canceled checks, credit card statements, medical records, legal documents, payroll information, social security numbers, investment data, address book, addressed mail, etc.  Staples, paper clips and rubber bands are all OK, however, please be sure to remove 3-ring binders, large binder clips, plastics or metals.

What should I bring my material in?

Preferably a paper grocery bag as they are recycling friendly. However, any box or bag will do just fine. The material will be transferred into our secure shred bin for destruction. You are able to keep your bin or bags once the shredding is complete.

What happens to the paper once it’s shredded?

The shredded paper is processed for recycling and the vast majority is re-pulped into standard household products such as bathroom tissue, Kleenex and paper towels.

Can anyone attend the events listed on your calendar?

On our calendar, events will indicate “PUBLIC EVENT” with a green tab or “PRIVATE EVENT” with a red tab to the right of the event name.  To learn more details about private events and if you qualify, please read the details of the event.

How do I know if the event has a fee or is free?

Any special details will be listed in the details of each event. In the event that something is not listed or you are unsure of the information provided, you can contact the host on their website for any additional information.
