FROM FLOPPY DISKS TO HARD DRIVES.
“We have 20 old Dell computers sitting in our storage room.”
Most of our client’s IT departments are routinely asked to wipe hard drives or degauss used media. But in fact, there is an ongoing debate over the security of these actions alone. Your company’s data, new or outdated, is valuable and the disposal of everything protecting that resource shouldn’t be left to chance. Physical destruction is the right answer.
Shred Right was the first shredding company in Minnesota to take on computer hard drives. Our team understands you are not looking to destroy the media, but the critical information stored on them. In fact, we are acknowledged as having one of the most knowledgeable staffs to handle this sensitive material.
- Back-up tapes
- Jump/flash drives
- DVDs, CDs
- Portable hard drives
- Optical disks
Clients no longer run the risk of a piece of data being duplicated, recovered or restored. Both Shred Right’s mobile on-site shredder and off-site Shredding Vault™ are AAA NAID Certified and endorsed for hard drive destruction. First, we conduct a complete inventory, providing clients a detailed list of all media set for destruction. Once all electronic media and hard drives are rendered legally indecipherable during shredding, we follow our “Green Smart” final disposal guidelines to keep material out of area landfills. Tapes are incinerated for waste-to-energy and hard drives are recycled at a licensed e-waste facility.
